New installation of OMET iFlex at Landpress, Ukraine

Landpress Printing Company had been established in 1999. The company started the provision of the printing services on-demand. Since 2001, the company began its development in the sector of sheet-fed offset printing and achieved serious success in 2008 after installing the first web offset machine with gas dryer. It entered the web printing market and is currently one of the three enterprises in Ukraine providing this type of printing services.

The clients of the Landpress are the leading companies in the retail and FMCG segment. In order to expand the range of services provided and to develop the market for printing self-adhesive labels in 2021 it was decided to invest in new equipment, a narrow web printing machine OMET iFlex 370, which is equipped with 10 printing units, 2 cold foil stamping units, a special cooling system for printing on thin unsupported materials and other options for a wider range of manufactured products. At the same time additional three units of installed post-press equipment will form a complete complex of the flexographic printing section in the printshop, which will provide the most quality and production time demanding customers with a self-adhesive labels .

In October 2021, the OMET iFlex 370 printing machine was installed by the technical specialists of OMET and Polygraph & Print Solutions.

In terms of certain technical solutions iFlex is equipment having no analogues on the market. This machine offers consistent print quality, fast makeready and high speed die cutting.

Short web path, ergonomic printing unit, laser pre-register of printing “iLIGHT” (OMET patent) and a wide range of printing repeats starting from 139.7 mm (5 “1/2) – makes it possible to carry out even the smallest print runs.

Constant tension control in the unwinding module and web infeed section allows printing on a wide range of materials. In this case, the data on the parameters of the web tension can be saved in the machine memory and later called from it when reprinting a certain print run.

Thanks to the use of the rail system it is possible to equip the printing machine with additional mobile modules such as a screen printing module, cold and hot foil stamping, a web turning module for reverse side printing.

The unique and time-tested Rock’n’roll strip winding module allows to work with any die cutting shape. The machine uses the latest iVISION register system (developed by OMET) with cameras installed on each printing unit, which guarantees a minimum of printing waste and quick makeready.
