OMET and Simec Group together on the Future Factory stage
Future Factory is the first event of the printing sector partially held in presence since the pandemic has begun: a strong signal for the restart comes from Milan and from Acimga, organizer of the event. OMET and Simec Group, among the main sponsors of the event, are going to present jointly a case study about “Open Innovation as a tool for success and cultural growth of the supply chain”.
Future Factory, to be held in Milan on September 15th and 16th 2021 in the presence of the public and at the same time broadcasted in live streaming, brings together the entire printing, converting and packaging supply chain in a great and innovative occasion for dialogue about the industrial scenarios in transformation. By organizing the Future Factory 2021 event, Acimga wants to raise the voice of the sector about the main actual economic, market and vision issues that underlie the change, through prestigious global partnerships and the fundamental contribution of all players along the supply chain.
OMET and SIMEC GROUP, together on the Future Factory’s stage, will share the results of a jointly developed technology that will change the anilox market. With the common goal of raising the quality of flexographic printing in the narrow web sector for labels and offering effective and innovative solutions to printers, the two companies located in Lombardy (Northern Italy) collaborated at the tests for the new CABOLL cylinder.
“Today, the continuous innovation of products is more than ever essential for the primary OEMs that need to find spare parts that match the performances of their machines. In our case, the goal is not to align with their performance, but to maximize it. For this aim, a joint R&D effort is required” says Laura Della Torre, Managing Director of Simec Group.
“We collaborated with Simec throughout the testing phase, contributing with our experience and our ideas: results obtained are very satisfactory and we look forward to giving this opportunity to our customers. The growth of the market today bases on the communication of needs by players in the supply chain, and on the ability of manufacturers to find valid solutions, always questioning themselves and trusting the ideas and proposals of their partners ” says Marco Calcagni, Sales and Marketing Director of OMET.
This is a winning case history that SIMEC GROUP wants to replicate with the primary OEMs operating in other industries, to acquire new market shares and consolidate the high-end positioning in all sectors in which its applications are already widespread.
