Great success for OMET at Drupa 2024!

Stories of excellence

During Drupa 2024, the most important trade fair of the packaging industry, OMET welcomed numerous visitors from all over the world offering the possibility of diving into its innovation through different attractions: the “Innovation Gallery” showcasing the full range of OMET solutions for labels and packaging, the Virtual Tour to explore in just a few minutes the OMET Headquarters, and several daily appointments focused on sustainability to deepen the greenest solutions for the future of the label and packaging printing industry.

This edition of Drupa underlined that the printing market increasingly demands innovation and micro-differentiation, along with an extreme production flexibility. OMET demonstrated that it can provide exclusive and efficient solutions to meet these needs, ensuring printers to combine printing quality with the possibilities of differentiation, profit, and sustainability, based on 3 pillars: Combination, Customization and Commitment.

The Innovation Gallery hosted the entire range technological solutions which can be combined and optimized to meet every printing need for labels, flexible packaging, light-weight carton, and special applications. OMET team welcomed an unexpected number of visitors, providing technical insights and customized market suggestions.

Thanks to the new Virtual Tour, visitors were able to undertake a virtual journey inside the facilities where OMET technology come from: the new Headquarters in Molteno, the production department of the Printing division, and the Innovation Park permanent showroom.

At OMET booth, visitors also found an area dedicated to the Digital Solutions, the future of printing industry, such as Sfera, OMET’s new digital platform developed for collecting and managing production data from any machine. Visitors tested its many functions and discover how digitalization can optimize printing processes, by making more efficient and competitive jobs, and allowing higher margins.

Sustainability, an increasingly relevant topic for the printing industry, took center stage with daily events dedicated to “green” innovations developed by OMET in collaboration with cutting-edge technological partners, such as Durst, BST, GEW, Simec, Zeller+Gmelin, Tesa and Actega.

After 8 years from the last edition, Drupa confirmed to be a central event for the global packaging market, providing encouraging sensations of strong recovery despite the various situations of political and economic instability.

OMET is very satisfied with the results obtained, with many new leads for potential customers and several contracts signed for new printing machine installations.
