“Born Artists, Made Printers”: strong turnout for Avery Dennison’s technical training day at OMET’s Innovation Park
More than eighty Italian label printers took part in the event organized by Avery Dennison Italia in collaboration with OMET, Sun Chemical and Tecnocut: a full day of technical training combining theory, practice and direct interaction with industry experts.
The technical event “Born Artists, Made Printers” took place on November 12th at OMET’s Innovation Park in Molteno (Lecco).
The initiative was created with the goal of offering Italian label printers a dedicated moment of training and discussion on the main daily challenges of the production process, as well as on the best practices to achieve consistent, high-quality results over time.
The event saw an outstanding turnout, with more than 80 technicians and production managers from all over Italy—clear proof of the strong interest in technical updates and knowledge-sharing opportunities.
The day was structured into two complementary sessions.
The first, more theoretical part featured contributions from specialists representing Avery Dennison, OMET, Sun Chemical and Tecnocut, who shared their best practices on materials, inks, printing technologies and die-cutting.
The practical session then brought those concepts to life directly on the press, thanks to three OMET lines running live. Participants, divided into three working groups, were able to observe how to manage and solve common production challenges—such as different substrate behaviors, printing complex shapes, handling multipage labels, and achieving optimal drying of inks and coatings.
The technical sessions proved to be highly concrete and valuable, enriched by hands-on demonstrations and advice that can be directly applied in everyday production.
At the end of the event, participants had the chance to exchange impressions and explore specific topics during a light lunch set up inside the Innovation Park, which was transformed into a space for technical dialogue and professional networking.
The initiative confirmed the strong synergy and collaborative value among the four partners, who successfully delivered a high-level training day by combining their expertise and complementary perspectives in the world of label printing.
