OMET Suzhou inaugurates its new headquarters in China
The new facility in Wujiang District strengthens OMET’s presence in the Chinese market and expands local production capabilities for the different divisions of OMET Group.
On September 9, 2026, OMET officially inaugurated the new OMET Suzhou headquarters, located in Pingqian Industrial Park, Wujiang District, Suzhou, in China’s Jiangsu Province. This marks an important milestone in the Group’s growth in China, almost twenty years after the opening of its first facility in the country.
The new facility is the result of the relocation and expansion of OMET Suzhou’s operations, providing the Group with the space and capabilities needed to support future growth in the local market. The investment will also further strengthen integration with the Chinese supply chain and enable OMET to respond more effectively to customer needs.
“The new facility will strengthen the integration of the local supply chain and reaffirms the company’s long-term commitment to the Chinese market,” said Fabio Valle, General Manager of OMET Suzhou. “The Chinese market has become a key pillar of OMET’s global strategy. We firmly believe that combining Italian technology with China’s industrial capabilities can create an extraordinary competitive advantage.”
OMET has been present in Suzhou since 2007. Since then, its Chinese subsidiary has progressively expanded its role, becoming an important reference point for the Group’s activities in the local market. In the printing sector in particular, OMET has installed nearly 100 machines in China for applications including high-quality labels, cosmetic packaging and flexible food packaging.
The inauguration also held special significance for Antonio Bartesaghi, CEO of OMET Group, who officially opened the new facility almost twenty years after his father, Angelo Bartesaghi, inaugurated the company’s first Chinese subsidiary.
“We are proud of this achievement and look to the future with confidence, ready to continue our journey driven by innovation and excellence,” commented Antonio Bartesaghi during the ceremony.
The event was attended by employees, partners and representatives of Italian and Chinese institutions, including Sun Daoxun, Secretary of the CPC Wujiang District Committee; Stefania Mortelliti, Commercial Consul at the Consulate General of Italy in Shanghai; Zhang Yan, Deputy Mayor of the Wujiang District People’s Government; and Lorenzo Bali and Mattia Marino, Vice Presidents of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce for Suzhou and Shanghai, respectively.
The new facility marks another milestone in OMET’s international development strategy and confirms the Group’s commitment to continued investment in the Chinese market, combining its technological know-how with an increasingly well-established local presence, closely aligned with customer needs.
